π Hi Reader,
If you are building stuff in the creator economy, and you haven't heard of Taylor Cromwell, what are you even doing?
Seriously, Taylor is one of my favorite people online, and offline. I met her in Austin early this year, and she's so generous with the conversations that she gets to have in the creator economy space and the people that she meets here. She always shares whatever she has learned, and she's a big fan of being able to manifest her dream career and life in public.
Taylor recently posted on LinkedIn about Shaan Puri's latest MFM video, and had it not been for Taylor, I would not have discovered this particular My First Million video.
Taylor's LinkedIn Post about Shaan Puri's MFM video
No, I did not crawl out of a cave. I am aware of My First Million, and I dig their interviews, but somehow this has been a mad month. Here's the Youtube video if you would like.
To be honest, I am guilty on delivering on only 2 of the 5Ds that Shaan talks about in his video. I sat down on Friday evening and went through the last 40-50 issues of LetterStack through this lens, and I was squirming at what I realized:
I had been fixated on 'Done' and 'Deliver' on repeat for months.
I had rarely touched upon: what do I do every day? What are my dreams? What are the things that I dork out about?
It's not because I don't think I have interesting dreams, or I have interesting nerdy things that I geek out on. It's just that I have always felt that I need to stay in my lane when it comes to my niche.
I would like to think that I am an interesting person (and I hope you do too) But until we get to meet IRL, I need to let you into my life and make it relatable for you so that you realize:
If a dork like me can write a weekly newsletter, so can you.
That comes back to the subject line.
I believe that I run out of ideas until the last moment on Saturday morning, until I actually send the newsletter issue out the door. And that's because I have only been touching upon 2 of the 5Ds, whereas I could be using all 5 to draw on a content backlog that never runs out.
So, I am committing to geek out a bit, and tell you more about my dreams, and hopefully, that makes reading these weekly issues, more relatable and human.
Is running out of content ideas keeping you up at night too? I would like to think I am not alone, so if that's the case, let's share notes.

π Hi Reader, I see all these naysayers dumping on LinkedIn, saying it's full of AI slop. Those who think that LinkedIn's feed isn't great clearly haven't seen Jen Allen-Knuth in action. Jen is a force of nature. She is a champion at teaching sales, and she has created so much collateral around understanding how to sell effectively and break into executive conversations, you almost regret that you discovered her profile too late. To top that, Jen has an amazing sense of humor, so it always...
π Hi Reader, It's no secret that when you read most of the content online, especially on Linkedin, you get an uncanny sense that it's being written by AI. A lot of creators are getting smarter about it, and using other's content to get an engaging tone of voice, and running with that playbook. No guilt in that. If English is not your first language, or if you are not fluent in writing, you begin with copywork - you take someone's writing style, and place it in your circumstances, and tell...
π Hi Reader, If you are writing a newsletter for niche B2B buyers, I have got news for you. Adam Ryan, Workweek CEO, announced on LinkedIn that they are moving away from a content platform to a newsletter platform. Adam's LinkedIn announcement this week Great, another newsletter platform, right? Not just another newsletter platform. Workweek always had their newsletter portfolio game on point. They were writing on finance, e-commerce (Go-to-Millions with Ari Murray) and other lucrative niches...
